Believe it or not, my day job is what led me to create Speakeasy Travel Scarves with hidden pockets—we used to be full-time travel bloggers before becoming full-time makers!
I was always frustrated by the lack of pockets in clothing, but it wasn't until I started traveling full-time as a travel photographer over a decade ago that I realized just how much that lack of pockets hindered my ability to move freely around the world.
This "pocket inequality" is exactly why the Speakeasy pocket scarf was born!

If you come across another travel scarf with a hidden pocket, it’s definitely a copycat—ours is the genuine article. Yes, our scarves cost more. That’s because quality comes at a price; our materials and labor cost more, too. The fabric is versatile, beautiful, and durable. Our team is based 100% in the USA. The final product is of superior quality—something that can be passed down to the next generation. Simply put, you get what you pay for. Our customers love our products and our business philosophy, and they keep coming back for more.
Speakeasy travel scarves are created with the customer in mind; we pour our heart and soul into every aspect, from design and materials to craftsmanship. When the time comes to buy another one, it will be because you want a different style, not because your current scarf failed to meet your needs. Finally, please do not purchase Speakeasy travel scarves anywhere other than this website, our Etsy shop, our Amazon store (we only have a few products there), or one of the brick-and-mortar retailers listed on our distributors page.
If you come across a "Speakeasy" shop elsewhere, it is likely a knock-off using our name. Other companies are impersonating our brand, even using our photos and product descriptions to promote their own products. Also, please do not buy our products if you see them listed at exorbitant prices (I once saw ONE of our scarves selling online for $150!), as we have discovered many instances of people reselling our products at prices far above the original cost. We ship worldwide, so there is no need to buy from those trying to rip you off.
