Dr. Jennifer Berry (she/her)
Chief Event Coordinator / Co-Founder / Co-owner
I grew up right outside of Little Rock, Arkansas on a farm where I developed a love and passion for animals and the outdoors. Pursuing this love, I graduated from the University of Arkansas with a degree in Zoology and a Masters in Teaching and subsequent PhD from Capella University in Education.
My love for science continues through the making of soap, caring for our urban farm, and tending our small flock of chickens.

My life has taken me on many journeys. From touring the world as a professional drummer to working with my varying non-profits, I’ve always enjoyed new challenges and discovering new adventures. I have to be honest, owning a soap company with my wife was never on the cluckin’ radar, but here we are and I wouldn't rather be anywhere else! I love that we have built a company that is diverse, family oriented (human, feathered, and furry), and that has a passion for philanthropy, our community, and for environmentally friendly practices.
If you are reading this, I want you to know that you are loved, accepted, and part of the Cluck Hut family from now on! Cluck Yeah!

A lifelong dedication to helping others drives my role as Chief Creative Officer at My Cluck Hut. This spirit has always informed my work, from organizing care packages to joining conservation and community service groups. This commitment to care and helpfulness is reflected in my passion for excellent branding and design.
I have a deep appreciation for quality, finding enjoyment in music, art, and wine, which translates directly into my dedication to high standards.
At My Cluck Hut, this focus on top-notch products goes hand-in-hand with a strong commitment to giving back. We are serious about supporting our community through meaningful partnerships with non-profits, ensuring our contributions are genuine and impactful.

Josiah Johnson (he/him)
Production Management / Co-owner
If you recognize our Operations Manager Josiah, it’s probably from his 20 years bartending, managing and owning some of the coolest restaurants in East Nashville. During the Covid shutdown he saw the opportunity to escape the hours and the grind of the restaurant business, and sold his business, opting to be more present for what he values most , his daughters. Josiah has a big, engaging personality, is quick-witted and loves dad jokes. He shares our core values about people before profit, sustainability, and being a strong ally.These days you can find him in the coop, perfecting his soap-making skills, or out in the wild at markets , rocking the dad-bod and white tennis shoes, loving his life, joking around and talking to folks about the best clucking soaps, bath and body care products.

Jenny Ott (she/her)
Chief Financial Officer
Being an anti-Capitalist Bookkeeper is a strange contradiction that Jenny will discuss at great length with anyone who shows even the slightest interest. It’s one of the many reasons she’s so grateful for the opportunity to work with such a great team of like-minded individuals at My Cluck Hut!
Jenny loves to spend as much time as possible outside by the pool, playing video games, teaching her son about the benefits of intersectional feminism, and basking in her cosmic insignificance.
Her favorite product is Elbow Grease. She always buys two and inevitably gives one away to a friend with skin, because moisture is self-care.
Gabe Masterson (he/him)
Assistant Soap Maker / Event Sales
Gabe Masterson is a creative professional with 17 years of experience as an audio engineer and co-founder of Café Rooster Records—his first brush with poultry branding (though he didn’t know it would foreshadow his future at My Cluck Hut). A U.S. Coast Guard veteran and NASM-certified personal trainer, Gabe is also deeply rooted in Nashville’s creative and nonprofit scenes. He has served on the board of Street Theatre Company, volunteered with Notes for Notes, and helped organize grassroots fundraising for SAFPAW, Planned Parenthood, and the Bernie Sanders campaign.A lover of bass music, rock ‘n’ roll andbeliever in the 432 Hz theory, Gabe sees both sound and soap as foundations for connection, healing and joy.He was drawn to the core values and ethos My Cluck Hut demonstrates in the Nashville community. They walk the walk—and Gabe’s honored to be part of the flock that stays steady kicking fascism in the… well, you know. Rooster jokes.
Joshua Haynes (he/him)

Why did Josh cross the road? To bash the fash of course. I am a veteran, a weightlifter, an avid reader/gamer, a plant dad, cat lover, and a pissed off poet who is sick of sitting by and watching as billionaires and wannabe dictators drag us back to the dark ages. There is a lot of darkness right now, but joining the team at My Cluck Hut is a way to be a part of the light, while making sustainable and groovy products to make sure you feel physically and mentally clean. If you see me, say hello. I may look scary, but I promise I'm not. (Unless you're a fascist) I believe there is nothing more punk than being kind and strive to be a a champion of positive masculinity.
You weren't born to just live and be a part of the system. Choose to be more, and don't forget you are loved. Stay clean and keep on cluckin' on, y'all!

My Cluck Hut is more than a soap company; it's a mission-driven movement. Born during the 2020 pandemic chaos, we chose to act and be the change we wanted to see. The chicken reference? A chemist and an "idiot" (now our co-founders) were stuck at home with new chickens. While one crafted a perfect, eco-friendly soap formula, the other made bad chicken puns to cope. The chickens themselves are just what was around, lending their names to products like our "Cock Line" and "X-Fowliant."
