Our Story

Thirteen years ago, I found a stray dog limping down a South LA street - sick, scared, and way too young for how worn-out he looked. I named him Arturo. I thought he’d just coast out his last years. Instead, he got better. A lot better. Turns out he was barely five.

Over the next decade, I turned my own obsession with health - nutrition, functional medicine, the whole human biohacking playbook - into his. Every time he slowed, I dug deeper: better food, smarter supplements, smarter timing. Nothing off-the-shelf worked, so we built it ourselves. By the end, he was 16½ - human equivalent of 117 - still sharp, strong, cancer-free, no organ failure. Just a dog who’d been given the kind of care we usually save for ourselves.

Arturo proved what’s possible. Dogs don’t have to fade early. With the right science, they can thrive longer, happier, healthier.

That’s why I started Arterra. Not just to sell supplements - though we do that very well - but to solve real gaps in dog wellness, one science-backed fix at a time.
