The People Behind 8849
At 8849, our R&D team brings together engineers from multiple disciplines, including structural design, hardware development, protection testing, software engineering, material selection, and industrial design. Supported by experienced project managers, the team continuously drives product optimization and technical innovation. Most of our engineers have over 10 years of experience in rugged smartphone development, with some holding master’s degrees in relevant engineering disciplines. Our Chief R&D Officer, with an engineering background from Stanford University, has long focused on high-reliability terminal devices and leads 8849 in developing rugged products that are reliable, innovative, and exceed real-world expectations.
On the manufacturing side, experienced production line operators and skilled technical engineers work within a mature and stable manufacturing system, ensuring consistently high standards in structural strength, assembly precision, and functional reliability across all smartphones and tablets
